Brentford manager Thomas Frank has praised youngster Yehor Yarmoliuk for his recent performances after multiple substitute appearances.

The 19-year-old has been brought off the bench in recent games against Burnley, Chelsea, West Ham and Liverpool after impressing in training.

The Ukrainian joined the Bees in July 2022, for an undisclosed fee from Dnipro-1 with Yarmoliuk a mainstay in Brentford’s B-Team.

However, his recent substitute appearances for the first-team could suggest boss Thomas Frank sees the youngster as part of his plans.

“I think he’s done better and better and, over the last five or six weeks, he’s trained well and showed that he should be part of this team.

“He deserved his right to come on against Burnley, Chelsea, West Ham and now today.

“He’s just growing [in influence], so pleased with what I see. We have big belief in Yehor.”

Another brilliant youngster for the Bees

Brentford have gained a reputation in the last few years for buying and developing young talent into excellent professionals, with Ollie Watkins and Ezri Konsa just two examples.

After signing just last summer, Yarmoliuk has shown glimpses of his qualities at such a young and tender age.

Boss Frank is one of the best in the business for developing youngsters, with the 19-year-old on a great path to becoming a very talented midfielder in the years to come.
