Brentford are looking to extend the contract of midfielder, Josh Dasilva. This comes despite a lengthy injury spell.
The midfielder has been missing for Brentford since August as a result of a hamstring tear in a 3-0 win against Fulham.
This was the second serious injury in the past three years Dasilva has suffered. A hip injury in 2021 saw him out for 341 days.
This was a disappointing moment for Thomas Frank and Co. as everybody knows the ability that he possesses.

Josh Dasilva contract conversation
In spite of his injury troubles, there is no doubt that he is a more than useful squad player for the Bees, when fit.
As a result of this, it appears that a contract extension in West London is on the cards.
It has been reported by The Athletic that Dasilva has an option in his contract that could allow his contract to be extended by a year.
They have also added that ‘they will probably trigger it’ soon. Keeping the former Arsenal man for at least another 12 months.
This will allow him time to return from injury and hopefully reach his top level.
What does he add?
When he is fit, Dasilva adds something very different to the Brentford midfield than they currently do.
The ability to get on the ball and move forward but also has an eye for a pass, allowing him to create plenty of chances.
Not only does he have an eye for a pass, he loves a shot from range. He had a catalogue of great goals and that quality is missed.
Despite not being the best defensively, with Christian Norgaard behind him, he doesn’t always need to be.
A contract extension makes sense for all parties and let’s hope Dasilva can return and hit the ground running.
