Brentford boss Thomas Frank has confirmed goalkeeper Mark Flekken is available for the trip to face Liverpool tomorrow afternoon.

The 30-year-old limped off during the 3-2 win over West Ham last week, but the Dutchman is fit enough to feature once again tomorrow.

Flekken has so far played 10 times for the Bees in all competitions, with the goalkeeper coming under fire in some Premier League games this season.

He’s been a decent replacement for David Raya who left for Arsenal, with Frank placing trust in the former Freiburg man to succeed at the GTEC Community Stadium.

“Mark [Flekken] trained this morning, so he should be all good to go for Sunday.

“It was only a minor one, more of a precaution – but he’s ready.”

Flekken’s substitution last weekend gave backup ‘keeper Thomas Strakosha a rare chance to play in the Premier League, however, it seems as though the £30k-a-week shot-stopper Flekken will start again tomorrow.

More to come from Flekken at Brentford

Flekken has been a good addition so far for the Bees and long may it continue, for Brentford and internationally.

He’s been selected to represent the Netherlands once again during this international break, a reward for his good start to life at the GTEC Community Stadium.

Of course, it is still early days for the 30-year-old, but he has impressed at the club so far with plenty more still to come from the former Freiburg ‘keeper.
