Brentford captain Christian Norgaard is said to be a target for fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur this January.
The 29-year-old joined the Bees back in 2019 for £3 million from Serie A side Fiorentina, going on to make over 100 appearances for the club.
Norgaard was given the captain’s armband at the start of the campaign after Pontus Jansson departed the club on a free transfer.
He’s been a crucial part of Thomas Frank’s side since his arrival – with Norgaard also a pivotal part of the side that won promotion to the Premier League back in 2020/21.
Brentford must keep hold of Norgaard
Frank is known for bringing in young talent to the GTEC Community Stadium, with Norgaard one of few players coming into their 30s.

The Danish midfielder provides real leadership and experience in the Bees’ midfield, with the 29-year-old really starting to grow into his role as captain.
Unsurprisingly, Frank’s side have struggled since Ivan Toney’s suspension came into play, with Norgaard taking a real leading role within the side.
With Ange Postecoglou’s side also interested in signing Toney in January, it is vital the club stand firm and keep two of their greatest assets.
Potential alternatives to Norgaard
Although the club must do everything to keep hold of Norgaard, names are already being linked should the 29-year-old leave in January.
Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has been linked with a move to the club, but face stern completion from the likes of Barcelona for his signature.
Ndidi would be a quality addition, however, the club must do everything they can to hold onto their club captain this January.
