Harry Kane’s potential transfer to Bayern Munich has edged closer as it looks unlikely, he will feature for Tottenham against Brentford in their opening game in the Premier League
First reported by David Ornstein it appears the North Londoners and the Bavarian side have agreed a £100 million move, leaving the decision in Kane’s hands.
With Brentford playing host to Tottenham’s first game of the new season, this could mark a new era without their talisman and all time top scorer.
From Thomas Frank’s point of view, this can only be a positive as his side look to start on the front foot.
Life without Harry Kane
Spurs won’t have time to bring in any new signings to replace Kane by the time they line up at the GTECH Community Stadium, so how will they cope?
Richarlison will step up. A £60 million signing, he must show his worth this season and under Ange Postecoglou, it is very possible that he will.

If there was a choice to face Kane or the Brazilian, it would definitely be the latter as he only scored one goal last season but that doesn’t tell the full story of his ability.
He is a nuisance, he will harry the Bees’ back line and with new players entering the back line in Nathan Collins and Mark Flekken, could he cause an issue?
Brentford must take advantage
Without Kane for the first time in nearly 10 years, there is an element of mystery about what Spurs could look like without their star man.
If the Bees get in the faces of their opponents and make a quick start to the game, it may be too much for Spurs to handle.
In saying this, with Richarlison upfront, it will be a different challenge than playing Tottenham in previous seasons with Kane dropping deep.
With the experience of Ben Mee, he will likely be able to shackle down Richarlison who has struggled for the Lilywhites.
He will find form at some point, but as Tottenham prepare for life without Kane, Brentford must take advantage.
