Burnley are next up for Brentford in the Premier League and their manager, Vincent Kompany has suggested it will be an easier game than their past fixtures.

So far, it has been a difficult start to the season for the Bees with just one win from their first eight games in the Premier League.

Thomas Frank’s side have had a difficult start with fixtures against Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

It isn’t going to get easier any time soon, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all coming up.

Burnley next up

The Bees’ next game represents a must-win game against a newly promoted side.

Burnley won the Championship in convincing fashion last campaign but have struggled to translate that in the Premier League.

So far they have registered four points with one win, losing six. They managed a win over Luton Town, in an early six-pointer.

The game at the GTEC Community Stadium will represent a chance for Frank’s side to get back on track.

With that being said, Kompany has the same mindset.

What has Vincent Kompany said?

After a difficult start, the Clarets are coming to a more favourable run of fixtures.

Looking forward, the Belgian said: “It would be nice now to look at these types of games and get some results.”

This won’t be what Brentford fans want to hear, but given their form so far it may be fair from their point of view.

Explaining further, Kompany added: “With the fixtures coming up, we’ve got more of the types of games like we had against Forest and Luton where we actually had a chance before a ball was kicked.”

To try and maintain survival, concentration on teams that are in and around you is key. Brentford needs the win as much as Burnley does right now.
