Michael Olakigbe is a name that has become more recognisable to Brentford fans in recent times, with the 19-year-old catching the eye.
The young winger made his competitive debut for the club back in August in the Carabao Cup second-round victory over Newport County.
In the last few months, his form hasn’t gone unnoticed, receiving call-ups to the England U20 squad, and making two appearances in the last international break.
He’s been brought off the bench multiple times in the Premier League so far this campaign, with Olakigbe more than deserving of more frequent opportunities.
Very high expectations for Olakigbe
Olakigbe is a player that Brentford have held in high regard since his arrival from West London Premier League rivals Fulham back in 2022.

The then 18-year-old signed a four-year contract, with an option of an additional year, after the Bees fought off interest from Brighton, Aston Villa and Newcastle United for his signature.
The introduction of Brentford B-Team back in 2016 has allowed youngsters such as Olakigbe to play consistently, progress as a footballer and push his way into the first-team picture.
He’s developed at a rapid rate and has really given boss Thomas Frank a real threatening option in the attacking third for years to come.
Olakigbe on who he idolises in training
Speaking in an interview with Brentford’s media team, the 19-year-old admitted that he looks to take advice from Bryan Mbuemo and Josh Dasilva.
“I’ve been speaking with Bryan Mbeumo quite a lot. After training sessions, I am asking him where I can do better.
“Players like Josh Dasilva and Bryan. Obviously, playing positions similar to me. Bryan’s crosses are unbelievable.
“Josh’s finishing when he comes in on his left foot, even though I’m right-footed I can still learn to use my left, so I always ask questions and try to learn from them every day.”
