Brentford B star Tristan Crama has been rewarded for his progress at the club.

Brentford have confirmed that Tristan Crama, who is a fixture in their Brentford B youth side, has been handed a new three-year deal, and will join Bristol Rovers on loan for the upcoming season.

Crama’s new deal also includes the option for the Bees to extend it by a further year. The contract comes off the back of three fine seasons the defender has enjoyed in the club’s youth set-up.

Since joining from his local side Beziers in 2020, the Frenchman has played 92 times for Brentford B. The 21-year-old is now ready to test himself in senior football, and will get the chance with Bristol Rovers in League One.

Thomas Frank will hope that Crama can return from this temporary spell with the Pirates ready to compete for a place in the first team squad at the Gtech Community Stadium. Brentford certainly have high hopes for the 6’4” centre-back.

All eyes on Brentford B

Having handed Crama his new contract, Brentford B head coach Neil MacFarlane took the time to give his thoughts on the player: “it’s brilliant news to see that Tristan has signed a new contract with the club. It’s also a terrific loan move and, having been a real talisman for us last season, I think it’s the perfect time for him to go out on loan.”

There will be additional attention on the goings on at Brentford B this summer, given Romeo Beckham’s place in their squad. MacFarlane, however, will be looking to see how Crama copes in the glare of League One, where he’ll quickly have to get used to playing in front of the Memorial Stadium faithful.

Both the new contract and loan will represent huge opportunities for Crama, and he will be eager to repay the club’s faith in him.
