Brentford winger Sergi Canos is waiting for La Liga side Valencia to make an offer, and is ready to turn down interest from Anderlecht to make this move happen.

The 26-year-old spent the second half of last season out on loan at Olympiakos, and with just one year left on his deal, both the player and Brentford are keen to part ways.

Canos caused further annoyance by wearing a shirt which read “please help me” as he returned to Brentford training, with his desire to leave apparent to all at the club.

A report from Relevo has claimed that Brentford want to accept Anderlecht’s offer, which is believed to be around £500k, but the player will reject any move as he waits for Valencia to come in.

Canos is ready to go to war to get his move to Mestalla and has verbally agreed a four-year deal with the Spanish side, despite Anderlecht being willing to offer a higher salary than what he is earning at Brentford.

What next for Canos?

The player was a Brentford hero, having made 249 appearances for the club, and famously scored The Bees’ first ever Premier League goal against Arsenal, but his behaviour in these recent months has not gone down well amongst the fanbase.

The report goes on to state that if he cannot achieve his move to Valencia, he would be prepared to reject all other offers and run down his contract in West London before moving for free.

This is putting the club in a difficult position, where they may be forced to accept a low, or even free offer from Valencia to put an end to this saga.

The La Liga side are struggling financially, and it may take some time for them to be able to formalise a bid which pleases Brentford. Given that there is already an offer on the table which they were prepared to accept, there may be some frustration within the club that this situation cannot be resolved quickly.
