Bristol Rovers manager, Joey Barton has confirmed that Tristan Crama has returned to Brentford for injury rehabilitation.

Crama joined Rovers for the season, this summer, and has made six appearances since moving to League One.

Starting five games as the Gas found themselves in smack-bang mid-table, just four points off the playoff places, occupied by Barnsley.

The centre-back’s key abilities revolve around passing and building up play from the back as Brentford love to do.

The centre-back will join Rico Henry on the injury list, who suffered a similar fate against Newcastle United.

What has Joey Barton said about Tristan Crama?

Despite a positive start for Crama, it appears that his injury is worse than first feared, seeing him return to the Bees.

Due back at The Robert Rowan performance centre as he aims to return from injury as soon as possible.

Discussing his injury, Barton said: “The scan has come back and it’s not great news.”

Disappointing news for a young player who has had a positive start to the season, playing plenty of first-team minutes for his new side.

On Crama’s issue, Barton added: “He’s got a bit of an issue with a tendon. He’s going to go back to Brentford to get treated on that.

“It’s a bit of a blow, and we think he has picked it up in training on Friday.”

It is clear that the Rovers manager is disappointed to be losing him so soon after he appeared to have found his feet.

With that being said it is a tough time for the youngster, but he will come back fit and fighting, ready to reclaim his spot.
