Thomas Frank has been discussing his league competition and the spending power that the Premier League is able to spend.

Bournemouth were the main team that Frank spoke about following their 2-2 draw.

Mathias Jensen scored the opener with a clever freekick which caught out Neto at his near post.

Dominic Solanke and David Brooks scored two well taken goals and put their side into the lead late in the game.

Bryan Mbuemo came up trumps, as he has all season, to bring the scores level and secure a point for Bees.

What has Thomas Frank said about Bournemouth?

It was the first time that Frank has come up against Andoni Iraola in his career.

When asked about this he said: “It was a nice challenge, a good challenge.

“I think it was an open game actually, most of the game, both ways.”

794 passes, 4.99 expected goals and 33 shots between the two of them it was definitely an open affair.

Frank was complimentary of the Cherries: “They pressed more aggressive and forward. I like that in many ways.”

He continued his compliments for them and the league: “Just another thing I was thinking about Bournemouth, they spent £120million in the transfer market, something like that?

“It just shows the competition of the Premier League is unbelievable.”

Brentford and Iraola’s side are similar in terms of financial backing so this conversation was done in good spirits.

When talking about his transfer budget Frank said: “The things we keep doing in this league with probably the third lowest budget, I think is so remarkable, in many ways.”

The Bees continue to go from strength to strength and long may it continue.
