Brentford defender, Ethan Pinnock has opened up about Thomas Frank and what he said to inspire the Bees to victory.
Up against Chelsea, Brentford were top class defensively. They were able to shut out the waves of attack from the Blues.
It must be said Thomas Frank set his team up perfectly and it allowed for the Bees to keep an easy clean sheet.
On the day, Ethan Pinnock won the Man of the Match award following a goal and a stellar defensive performance.
What has Ethan Pinnock said about Thomas Frank?
Going in at halftime, the home side had dominated the ball for large spells but couldn’t make chances count.
With that, Frank obviously had an issue with what he had seen and asked for a change in the second half.

Speaking with Jamaica Gleaner, he said: “I think his major point for us is to have more belief in ourselves.”
This was clear to see as the Bees pushed forward more and more in the second 45 and were able to win the game.
The defensive side of the game was the best for Brentford. Pinnock felt that too: “We’d soaked up the pressure really well.
“He [Frank] felt that in possession, we could take care of the ball a bit better and be a bit braver.”
It is safe to say that this worked a treat as more risks were taken going forward.
The opening goal came about as Pinnock went up from the back to contest a long throw-in. Eventually, getting on the end of a Bryan Mbeumo cross.
It was clear Frank’s words of wisdom worked a dream: “He just wanted to give us that little boost. That extra bit of belief, and we showed it second half.”
The praise and call for more bravery clearly worked. Frank knows what he wants from his side and with two wins in a row, let’s hope the form continues.
