Former Chelsea striker, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has admitted he didn’t understand how Brentford weren’t awarded a penalty against Nottingham Forest.
The Bees took the lead through a top-class Christian Norgaard header.
This had come just minutes after Forest’s defender Moussa Niakhate had been sent off. He was given his second yellow for a foul on Yoane Wissa.
The hosts were level just seven minutes later when a Nicolas Dominguez header looped over Mark Flekken.
The issue came on 52 minutes when Matt Turner attempted to clear the ball and ended up clearing out Wissa.
VAR took a look and didn’t deem it a clear and obvious error. They were the only people not to think it was anything but a clear-cut penalty.
What did Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink say?
It was early on in the half but the penalty decision could have changed the game.

The Dutchman was confused by the decision: “How is that not a penalty?
“I’m bemused. This is a penalty. A hundred, million per cent. No discussion.”
It is clear to see what the former Chelsea man thought. This opinion was shared by Brentford fans everywhere.
Wissa clearly wins the ball and Turner kicks through him, without getting the ball.
How it wasn’t given we’ll never know.
