Johan Bakayoko is set to stay at PSV this season. This despite a £35 million bid made by Brentford this week.
It had been reported this week that the Bees shared interest, with PSG, in Belgian winger Bakayoko with a battle for his signature likely.
Now it appears that he will be staying in the Netherlands as his side were forced to reject any advances.
It had been reported that the bid from Thomas Frank’s side met any evaluation set for the attacker.
Why isn’t Johan Bakayoko joining Brentford?
It appears that Peter Bosz was willing to sell his star but only if a replacement was found.
On the players side it has been said he isn’t sure about a move to the Premier League at this stage of his career.
It has been reported, a deal is at the discretion of the player and will depend whether or not he wants the move.
This could be because he wants to play Champions League football, which PSV have secured after beating Rangers in the qualification round.

This could be in an attempt to sign for a better club in January, or next summer, off the back of some great performance on the best stage.
Last season he scored nine and assisted a further six.
He had been linked to PSG, which may have tickled his fancy more.
With the Parisians looking at Randal Kolo Muani, their pursuit of the Belgian seems to be off.
Frank’s side have wanted a winger all summer, that is no secret. It looks like it won’t happen with Nico Gonzalez also not interested in a move.
It isn’t the end of the world for Brentford, undoubtably frustrating however.
