Brentford and Everton are both showing interest in 20-year old striker, Maximilian Beier of TSG Hoffenheim.
With the suspension of Ivan Toney, the Bees’ pursuit of a replacement striker has been well known, with options considered over the summer.
In the end, Neal Maupay returned to the club in a surprise loan move, late in the window.
With the recent injury to Kevin Schade, the need for reinforcement in forward areas for Thomas Frank’s is paramount.

Who is Maximilian Beier?
The now 20-year old spent the past two seasons on loan at Hannover 96. He had a successful spell, given his age.
15 goals across 68 games is a healthy return.
Since returning to his parent club, he has made six appearances this season. In that time he has scored four goals in the Bundesliga.
Bild has reported that his contract expires in 2025, but does feature a £20 million release clause.
Given the current state of the transfer market, that price could be well worth a punt for a young striker who is clearly doing well.
The German likes to get on the ball and dribble, he is no target or hold-up striker.
Standing at 6ft, he is adept in the air but this isn’t the only arrow in his quiver.
With him upfront with flying wingers like Kevin Mbuemo, Kevin Schade and Yoane Wissa around him, he could be a dangerous player.
