Brentford summer target, Kevin Danso has admitted his desire to play Champions League football saw him reject a Premier League move.
Danso was linked with both the Bees and Wolverhampton Wanderers over the summer but a move never came to pass.
The Austrian defender has played in England before. Playing for Southampton in 2019, also coming through the academies of MK Dons and Reading.
Currently, he plays for Lens in Ligue 1 who are on their first venture into the Champions League. Following a 2-1 victory over Arsenal, the rumour mill has come alive once again.

What has Kevin Danso said?
Danso had a great season, last time out and as a result had plenty of clubs, including Napoli, interested in his signature.
He was more than aware of this: “As I was coming out of a great season, a lot of clubs were interested.
“So, I didn’t really have a reason to leave, unless it was really the club you can’t refuse.”
With that being said, the prospect of playing with his current club at the top level was an opportunity he couldn’t refuse.
Discussing this, he said: “For me, the next step is to go to a Champions League club and play it with Lens.”
It is clear that the prospect of Champions League football was too much to depart from.
Despite this, he was very enthusiastic about a return to the Premier League: “Yes of course! When you’re young and in England, you only think about the Premier League.
“That was it, Barcelona, Real or Bayern, given my origins. And if I could have, for one of my brothers, it would have been Arsenal!”
It doesn’t look like a move to the GTEC Community Stadium is looking likely right now based on this.
