Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper has discussed the future of attacker Brennan Johnson. Multiple clubs are interested.

Johnson was the subject of a £30 million bid from Brentford earlier this window.

Interest has cooled off recently following the failed bid.

Forest are after a higher offer which is yet to come in. It has been said the price tag is there to ‘put off’ other clubs.

Aston Villa, Everton, West Ham United have been linked. More recently there has been surprise enquiries from Tottenham Hotspur.

With a price tag set to be in the region of £60 million, will Johnson move?

What has Steve Cooper said about Brennan Johnson?

“Brennan loves football and loves playing”

The Welshman has spent large portions of pre season injured, being described as ‘one of the hardest parts’ for the forward.

The injury may have have scuppered his preseason, but may of had an effect on clubs coming in for him.

“Lots of pre-season he has been injured, so it has been more about keeping focused on his rehab,” showing his determination to play football.

Cooper has not never had any concerns about Johnson’s head being turned: “he is a really, really good professional who was really committed to getting back fit.

“No conversations out of the norm from me.”

He is a great player and at 22-years-old is only going to get better.

The Bees and Thomas Frank will have to look elsewhere however as it is very unlikely £60 million will be spent on a single player.
