Manchester United have shown an interest in Rico Henry with a deal being discussed with Brentford late in the summer transfer window.
Following injuries to both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, Erik Ten Haag was in search of a left back.
With the late signing of Sergio Reguilon, a move for Henry was off.
Interest in the Brentford left back hasn’t cooled however, with the Red Devils still linked.
The Englishman has played every minute available so far this season in the Premier League, picking up one assist so far.
His contract is up in 2026 and as a result, the Bees are under no pressure to sell.
After 200+ appearances since joining from Walsall in 2016.
With his performances attracting interest from top sides, Henry may be tempted away.

Should Brentford sell Rico Henry?
The Englishman is one of the more important players under Thomas Frank.
Every Brentford fan knows what he brings to the side, he can be invaluable to his side.
A pacey left back who can get up and down the pitch with ease.
Despite people thinking his pace makes him more attacking minded, this isn’t neccessarily the case.
His clearances and aerial duels won are his top attributes and compares well to the top fullbacks in Europe’s top five leagues.
With that being said, he completes a take on almost every game so is often looking to take on his man when he gets a chance.
The Bees would probably demand a fee in excess of £30 million for the defender.
If he receives an England call up this season, with the Euros looming, his value will only increase over the course of the season.
Brentford always manage to replace their talent when they sell.
With that in mind, if a top fee can be arranged, then he could be worth selling.
With Ivan Toney being heavily linked to a move away, the funds from selling both could be used well.
This could be used to renovate the squad and add even further strength in depth.
