Brentford continue to be linked with Stuttgart striker, Serhou Guirassy as his release clause has been revealed.

If this season has made anything clear, Brentford need a striker. This is needed with or without Ivan Toney.

Despite Bryan Mbeumo scoring five goals so far, there has been a lack of a central forward figure in Thomas Frank’s squad.

Against Burnley, Neal Maupay came into the starting eleven. Despite not having a huge stature, he added a focal point.

This saw the Bees thrash the Clarets in one of the best performances of the season. A striker signing in January could take them even further.

How much would Serhou Guirassy cost?

Considering his form to begin this season, which has seen him win Bundesliga Player of the Month, his cost could be inflated.

In saying this it has been reported by 90Min that the Guinea international has a release clause in his contract.

With £15.2 million rumoured to be enough to take him away from Stuttgart in January, he’s going to be in high demand.

There are plenty of interested clubs in the Premier League, which doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

This could be the perfect signing for Brentford given their striker problems which could persist all season.

Can Brentford sign him?

According to reports, there are interested parties from all over the world from England to Saudi Arabia.

Real Betis, Villarreal, Ajax and Lyon are said to be the most heavily rumoured teams from the continent.

With huge contracts likely to be offered from the Saudi Pro League, the Bees are going to face heavy competition.

In spite of this, Frank’s side is going to be able to offer steady Premier League football and a potentially first-team guarantee.

If Toney is to depart, Guirassy has to be the go-to option for Brentford.
